Hollywood’s highest-earning actors of 2024
Hollywood actors have always made big money. 2024 was no exception. Forbes recently released its ranking of the highest-paid actors of the year. Let's find out who secured the top spots.
Everydays: The First 5000 Days ($69.3 million)
The most popular digital art object is considered “Everydays: The First 5000 Days”. The work was created by US artist Mike Winkelmann, known as Beeple on the Web. The unique collage was made one-per-day over more than thirteen years. During this period, the author was positing its elements on his Instagram. The image was the first purely digital NFT sold at Christie’s auction for ETH. The collage was acquired by an anonymous crypto investor using the pseudonym Metakovan, the founder of crypto-based investment firm Metapurse. He paid a record-breaking $69.3 million.
CryptoPunk #3100 ($7.58 million)
The second position in the ranking of most expensive NFTs is occupied by the CryptoPunk #3100 electronic avatar, developed by US design studio Larva Labs four years ago. The company created a collection of pixel art images linked to Ethereum-based tokens. Thus, Larva Labs was the first in history to create non-fungible tokens. CryptoPunk #3100 turned out to be the most expensive in the collection. In March 2021, it was sold for 4200 ETH ($7.58 million).
CryptoPunk #7804 ($7.57 million)
The third place on the list of the most expensive electronic art objects is taken by CryptoPunk #7804, developed by Larva Labs. This is one of the unique CryptoPunk characters and the only one of nine aliens to smoke a pipe. Such elements as tubes, sunglasses, and others are considered to increase the artwork's value. In March 2021, the digital avatar was acquired by an anonymous investor for about 4200 ETH ($7.57 million).
CROSSROAD ($6.6 million)
The fourth place among the most expensive pieces of digital art goes to CROSSROAD, a gif designed by the US artist known as Beeple. The artwork is an animated image of former US President Donald Trump lying face down in the grass. This object was first presented on online cryptocurrency marketplace Nifty Gateway in September 2020. A month later, in November, shortly before the presidential election in the United States, the digital item was acquired by co-founder of the Museum of Crypto Art Pablo Rodriguez-Fraile for $67,000. In March 2021, he resold the animated artwork to an anonymous buyer for $6.6 million.
3LAU's Ultraviolet Music Album ($3.6 million)
3LAU's Ultraviolet album closes the top 5 most expensive digital works. Notably, American DJ Justin Blau known as 3LAU is the first musician to tokenize his album. He put 33 copies of the Ultraviolet digital album up for sale. Musical works were sold at various prices. In February 2021, the value of all lots reached $1 million. The most expensive token that was sold for $3.6 million, included a custom song written specifically for the buyer, as well as access to never-before-heard music on the DJ's website. As a result, the musician made $11.6 million from NFT sales.
