Yen Jepang menguat terhadap mata uang utama lainnya di sesi Asia pada hari Kamis. Yen naik ke level tertinggi dalam 2,5 bulan di 178,34 terhadap pound, dari nilai penutupan kemarin di 180,29. Terhadap euro dan franc Swiss, yen menguat ke level tertinggi 6 hari di 153,86 dan level tertinggi 1 minggu di 162,65 dari harga penutupan kemarin masing-masing di 155,35 dan 163,87. Terhadap dolar AS dan Kanada, yen naik ke level tertinggi 4 1/2 bulan di 140,97 dan level tertinggi 1 minggu di 104,75 dari harga penutupan Rabu di 142,88 dan 105,67. Jika yen melanjutkan tren naiknya, kemungkinan besar akan menemukan resistance di sekitar 177.00 melawan pound, 151.00 melawan euro, 161.00 melawan franc, 139.00 melawan greenback dan 103.00 melawan loonie.
